Fast Food to Fresh Food is written by Melanie. She was born in Southeastern Wisconsin and now resides in the North Central part of the state with her partner of 12 years, Lorie. Together, they have a Jack Russell Terrier named Lucy and a temperamental orange tabby named Fig.
By day, Melanie is an Assistant Vice President/Quality Assurance Supervisor for a large bank in Wisconsin where she oversees the quality and training functions for a multi-site Contact Center. She has learned to "cook off the stress" by creating stews, soups, main dishes, and desserts. Her family, which includes her partner's two grown children, are very appreciative of this stress management technique! When she's not working or cooking, she is the Cantorial Soloist for Congregation Mount Sinai in Wausau, Wisconsin.
